The I-Tally project was designed as a comprehensive event management and real-time scoring platform, consisting of two interconnected components:

  1. A public-facing website for general users, shop and event promotion.

  2. A secured system dedicated to participants and organizers for event management, registration, subscription, and live scoring.

The main goal was to create a dynamic digital ecosystem that seamlessly integrates marketing, registration, and competition scoring — reducing manual processes while improving participant engagement and event visibility.

The public website serves as the platform’s front-facing hub. It highlights upcoming events, publishes announcements, promotes merchandise through an e-commerce store, and provides detailed information about what I-Tally offers. This ensures that visitors quickly understand the system’s value and can easily navigate between sections.

The system, designed for registered users, acts as the platform’s operational backbone — supporting the full event lifecycle and enabling real-time performance tracking. It features robust access management, automated payments, and administrative control for organizers.

Landing Page & Information Hub

  • Developed an engaging and responsive landing page to introduce I-Tally’s purpose, mission, and event services.
  • Optimized for user experience (UX) and accessibility, ensuring users could intuitively explore event details and navigate the platform.

Events Module (Upcoming Events Display)

To ensure seamless communication between the main website and the secured subdomain system, a set of custom RESTful APIs was designed and implemented. These APIs enable real-time data exchange, allowing public users to view live and accurate event information without compromising system security.

Key API functionalities included:

  • Event Details Endpoint: Provides dynamic content updates for event descriptions, schedules, and participant information directly on the main website.
  • Real-Time Scoring Endpoint: Streams live scoring data from the internal scoring engine to the public-facing leaderboard, ensuring instant updates for audiences during live events.
  • Upcoming Events Endpoint: Automatically retrieves and displays upcoming event listings on the website’s homepage, ensuring the public always sees the most current information.

This integration allowed the platform to maintain data consistency, reduce manual updates, and enhance user engagement by delivering fresh and accurate content in real time.
